DARTMOUTH — Dartmouth police responded to an alarm early Saturday at Lizzie’s Liquors on State Road, officials said.
Police responded about 4:09 a.m., and upon arriving at 839 State Road where the store is located, officer Marc Vachon found a broken window and confirmed some merchandise was taken from inside, according to Det. Kyle Costa, spokesman for the Dartmouth Police Department.
In an effort to locate the suspect, Dartmouth Police K-9 Officer Christopher Flechsig and his K-9 partner Sig responded to the scene, Costa said in a news release.
As a result, Flechsig and Sig located a male suspect, Sean Barry, 40, of Washington Street in North Attleboro, hiding in the woods in close proximity to the store, according to Costa.
Barry was subsequently arrested and charged with breaking and entering into a dwelling, larceny under $250 and two counts of vandalizing property.
