HRD Land Advanced Scenarios June 17 – 18, 2021

Target Audience: Certified teams, or teams that have completed the Beginner and Intermediate workshop. Teams from local, state and federal organizations will experience scenarios designed to mimic recent Human Remains Detection deployments.

Topics: 6 unique full body scenarios that handlers can search as blind or known exercises including wide area, shoreline, vehicles, primary and secondary searches. No formal instruction will be provided but participants will be guided through each station by experienced HRD handlers and instructors that will provide them feedback. At each station handlers will have the opportunity to practice their search strategy briefing skills with the group leader, work the scenario as a single blind or known exercise, and report their recommendations based on the results of their search.

Availability: Space is limited to 30 working spots. Unlimited auditor spots available.

Schedule: June 17 0900 – 1600

June 18 0900 – 1600

Meals: Lunches will be provided each day.

Location: Xenia, OH

Hotels: A block of rooms will be held near the training site. Upon completing your registration, you will receive an email with hotel information so that you can reserve your room.

Prerequisites:

  1. Dog must be at least 12 months old and have at least 6 months of HR training at the time of the workshop.
  2. You should have or be preparing to take a HRD Land certification from a national or state agency. If you have a current certification a copy can be uploaded during the registration process.
  3. Dog must be current on core vaccinations per AAHA Core Vaccines: Rabies, and Combination vaccine (Distemper, Adenovirus-2, Parvovirus, +/- Parainfluenza). Current titers also accepted. Information can be found at:

Copies can be emailed to info@thecfte.com and must be provided at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the course.

Payment must be received for registration to be complete. Once the registration form is complete you will receive a receipt and email confirmation.
