This HANDS-ON course, developed for both rookie and veteran law enforcement officers working in both a rural and urban environment, will cover:
- Officer safety during traffic stops;
- Conducting safe, legal, ethical, and professional traffic stops and consensual encounters;
- Target vehicle identification;
- Roadside interview techniques and detecting deception;
- Professional, minimally intrusive, safe, and bulletproof way to search a vehicle;
- Concealment and hidden compartments;
- Commercial motor vehicle (CMV) encounters;
- K-9 team usage; and,
- Courtroom Testimony
- Strategies for Successful Case Follow-up
