All paws on deck: Three new dogs join the fire investigation team

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) – You have probably seen dalmatians in a fire uniform, but now we introduce a German Shepard, Bloodhound and Yellow Lab.

Four new members are joining the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention team. Three of these are K9′s that are specialized in ignitable liquid detection and tracking decomposing human scent. Brian Eberle is the handler of these four-legged staff members.

Eberle has been in the fire service for 21 years. He has been working with canines since 2007. His team has helped in many arson, homicide and missing person cases.
