MADD honors Sumter sheriff’s K-9 sergeant with prestigious statewide award

Sumter County sheriff’s Sgt. Dave Clark and his K-9, Ukon, have received a prestigious award.
Clark, who was nominated along with many K-9 handlers from across the state, received the 2019 Mothers Against Drunk Driving “Handler & Drug Dog Recognition of Excellence” award. The honor came for his dedication to improving the safety of Sumter County roadways by providing assistance in the removal of drug-impaired drivers and his continued support of the DRE program.
MADD representatives looked at all of the nominees and selected Clark as among the best of the many submitted from across the Sunshine State. Read More
