Danny Nunez

Trooper Danny Nunez began working for Texas DPS in 2002. He has seized several thousands of pounds of marijuana and several hundred pounds of cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine and over 7 million dollars of Illicit US Currency, stolen merchandise, and weapons which were concealed in hidden compartments.

Danny has been involved in several control deliveries to other states and has instructed thousands of Officers in Criminal Interdiction throughout the United States. He was Texas State Trooper of the Year in 2015 for the Amarillo District and received an award from EPIC for the largest ecstasy load.

The focus of the criminal patrol class is to detect, interdict and disrupt the flow of illicit drugs, terrorists, human trafficking and illicit US currency associated with criminal activity on the nation’s highways.
