Long-standing Dog Handler awarded for his impressive work across Greater Manchester with trusty companion

PC Stuart Oram has been named Greater Manchester Police’s Tactical Dog Handler of the Year after his impressive work with PD Bren.
The Award, named after GMP Dog Handler Gary Mathieson who sadly passed away in 2005 due to cancer, is given each year to recognise the officers from our Tactical Dog Unit, who has delivered an outstanding performance throughout the past 12 months.
This dynamic duo has been tackling crime across Greater Manchester for several years, and have been recognised for their work, resulting in 48 arrests over the past year – the most in the Tactical Dog Unit.
Alongside his work with PD Bren, PC Oram is a National Police Chiefs Council instructor, which has seen him train several and mentor new dog handlers in GMP.
