Wagz has launched a smart collar for K9 search and rescue dogs, the company announced on 28 August.
The collar and app, called Wagz Warrior, is designed to connect police and military personnel to their K9 units for smarter and safer search and rescue missions.
Wagz Warrior enables GPS tracking to see real-time location of a K9; two-way audio to issue low level commands and speak to bystanders, victims or assailants encountered by the dog; live HD video streaming and real-time footage from the dog’s perspective to help its handlers assess and react quickly; safety lights to alert others and guide the K9; temperature and activity alerts of the dog; and a durable design to ensure the collar withstands water and other elements.
Terry Anderton, CEO, Wagz, said: ‘We are thrilled to introduce Wagz Warrior into the military and police market. We see a huge opportunity to help connect handlers to their K9s in real-time and we are thrilled that the Wagz Warrior collar does this at a reasonable price and through an easy-to-use, modern app.’
